2009 Kentucky Teaching and Learning Conference(KTLC) Cancelled
The Kentucky Teaching and Learning Conference (KTLC), scheduled for March 4-6, 2009, has been cancelled. The cancellation is due to the current fiscal and budgetary restraints across state government agencies, including local school districts. Staff at the Kentucky Department of Education thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this difficult financial environment. Draud Tenders Resignation From Commissioner Post

Request for Applications for the Stewart B. McKinney Homeless Education Program
A Request for Applications has been posted for the Stewart B. McKinney Homeless Education Program. This program is for district-wide services in order to develop and implement programs that facilitate the enrollment, attendance, and success in school of homeless children and youth. The Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Lessons are now available
The Lincoln Bicentennial Teacher Network has created lessons/units for P-12 aligned to Kentucky standards. The lessons, along with support materials, were created to commemorate the 200th birthday of Abraham Lincoln and focus on his many contributions to America and the world.
